I changed my superkey shortcut to launch krunner by running the following which I found on the arch wiki

kwriteconfig5 --file kwinrc --group ModifierOnlyShortcuts --key Meta "org.kde.krunner,/App,,toggleDisplay"

qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin reconfigure

After restarting my session krunner will launch one time using the meta key and after that it will not, it still has the default meta+r defined and that continues to work.

I am running plasma 5.2 on mxlinux
How can I troubleshoot this?
