Hi Everyone
For five years I have been trying to use Linux on a Macbook Air, using a USB stick and dual-booting. I have tried all the popular distributions but always abandoned them because of the same problem: the machine won't wake after closing/opening the lid. I have spent hours following every suggestion I could find without success. The latest-but-one try was Manjaro KDE Plasma and sometimes I had success but only intermittently. This week I installed Fedora 36 and JOY - it works beautifully and wakes up when the lid is opened. However, I then installed the KDE Plasma DE in Fedora and guess what? No waking up. Going back to the Gnome 42 DE, all is well again. I would love to use KDE Plasma as my everyday DE and already do so on my TV media player with great success. I'm not saying it's the fault of KDE on the Macbook, but this is the first solid clue I've had and I thought I would share it with you, in case anyone has any ideas? |

I had a similar problem. Does anyone know why does the macbook run too slow?

A MacBook can be too slow for many reasons. Each cause must be corrected as soon as possible. Some of the most popular causes of a slow macbook include lack of RAM and lack of free hard drive space. The main thing is not to panic and quickly find a way to fix the problem. My new Mac was very slow after I had worked on a project for a long time. Consequently, my hard drive got dirty because of the large files. I deleted old and large files to fix the problem and cleaned the recycle garbage can and the downloads folder. After the global cleanup, my computer started working fast without any problems.
