Battery broken?

Tue Aug 30, 2022 6:04 pm
My laptop have broken battery. I realized this few days ago, when I decided to turn it on.
Battery status in system tray describes it at 50% healthy and 0% loaded. No matter how long I keep it turn of with power supply, there is always 0%.

I decided to investigate reason. I think I do not turn my laptop. Probably, I do system update and keep it turn on for night. Next day, I go to work, probably. In many cases, I use simple command line, like:
Code: Select all
while pidof zypper; do sleep 10; done; shutdown -h now

or:
Code: Select all
while pidof packagekitd; do sleep 10; done; shutdown -h now

Something may went wrong. Anyway, I use forbid system hibernation and sleep settings on some activities. That probably causes problem.
I would ask you question: It is good trace?

I have solution, but I need to investigate before wrote it on brainstorm.
Solution is:
Add critical message, when laptop normally would go to sleep/hibernate, but some settings prevent this. This message will always popup and do some noisy without stop (sound). Also, that is good if KDE Connect have option: show only critical messages on phone in sharing popup messages module. That critical category means very critical, so as I said, laptop would be noisy and maybe phone also play some sound to prevent system/battery corruption.
