I installed this plugin: https://store.kde.org/p/1269113. I enabled the auto-hide of one of my panels by setting the size to a negative value. Plasma is broken now, it looks like it's trying to restart but crashes everytime. So I've got only my open windows working, plasma isn't there. How do I fix this? I have access to the terminal only.

I was thinking I might dig into the configs of the panels but I can't find them.

You could try editing:
Code: Select all
~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop.appletsrc
I'm just guessing, but it looks like each applet gets a number, and you could remove an applet by deleting all sections with that number. For example, if I wanted to remove the "Better Inline Clock" applet, I see in plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop.appletsrc that it is defined as applet 81, so I'm assuming that I could remove it by deleting the following lines:

Code: Select all
[Containments][40][Applets][81]
immutability=1
plugin=org.kde.plasma.betterinlineclock

[Containments][40][Applets][81][Configuration]
PreloadWeight=100
popupHeight=336
popupWidth=504

[Containments][40][Applets][81][Configuration][Appearance]
customDateFormat=dddd, dd MMMM, yyyy -
customSpacing=3.8837920489296636
dateFormat=customDate
enabledCalendarPlugins=/usr/lib/qt/plugins/plasmacalendarplugins/pimevents.so,/usr/lib/qt/plugins/plasmacalendarplugins/holidaysevents.so
fixedFont=true
fontSize=15
selectedTimeZones=Local,Europe/London
showSeparator=false

[Containments][40][Applets][81][Configuration][ConfigDialog]
DialogHeight=720
DialogWidth=960

In any case, definitely make a backup copy first.

Ditch it from ~/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids and reboot. A couple ( well, actually quite a few) haven't been updated in a good while and aren't up to date with current releases of plasma. Good chance this is one such. Ps: you are aware you don't need a plugin to autohide panels right?

This realm's name is Maya. And she speaks Hertz. But Ahamkara makes a fuzz about it.
