I'm running Arch in my system and I wanted to spin down my HDD on startup. Adding a systemd module from archwiki doesn't work because the drive spins up again as soon as SDDM appears. I tried to make a following script and add it to "start on login" in the settings.

hdparm -y -S 30 /dev/sda

I tried to add sudo but still nothing happens when I start up the PC or login, the drive continues to spin and make noise. The script executes normally when used in konsole. Please help.
