Hi, I've been using kde for a couple of years now, but in the last months kde just started dying on me randomly.

What does this mean:
* Screen blinks
* Transparency goes away
* Can't switch to another desktop
* Can't move/hide/switch any windows
* Can interact with windows that are in view
* Can open some windows with shortcuts

Code: Select all
kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell

Either does nothing, hides all windows or fixes something (1%, almost never works).

It's really annoying because I loose all my unsaved work, all my opened windows, etc.
I can't find anything meaningful in journalctl about crash.
This happens both on my laptop and my desktop.

Does anyone knows what could be the problem here?

Setup:
* plasmashell 5.26.2
* ArchLinux 6.0.6-arch1-1
* Last system upgrade: 09 nov 2022
