I recently got an LG C2 for use as a monitor, which is amazing save for not supporting standard PC wake signals.
Therefore, I have been struggling with finding a way to resume the TV the way a monitor would. There appears to be an easy solution -- use etherwake to send a WOL packet -- but I'm not sure how to trigger this command off KDE's implementation of the screen suspend/wake power management system. Etherwake requires sudo privileges, so it would be ideal if it was triggered by something that defaulted to that. (Note: I did find an easy way to trigger off systemd's sleep/hibernate system, but that doesn't work for my use case as this is a desktop that is always running tasks in the background.) I'm running Plasma 5.26.4 on Debian sid (6.0.0-6 kernel) / X11. Thanks in advance! |
