Almost 4 years ago I asked how to change the desktop icon label font (Help with desktop (icon) font - viewtopic.php?f=17&t=160875). I'm STILL trying to get an answer. I've met a lot of very smart "Linux" people over the years, but apparently no-one has yet amassed the skills to answer this question. That setting, wherever it is, controls a major piece of what every KDE user sees every time he/she looks at a KDE desktop - yet this feature is so hidden (or so secret) that no-one is able - or willing - to give the answer. In my case that means that I'm still using a version of Mint (17. ?), which runs KDE 4.13.2, which has the ability to change the desktop icon label font.
I have begun trying yet another new Linux distro (MX-Linux) that runs the latest version of KDE. But, just like all the others I've tried, I'm about ready to give up on it because all I can see on my desktop icons is the terrible white font with the black shadow. Does anyone in this community (including developers) know how to get into the HTML code and change the desktop icon label font color (and eliminate the shadow) ? Will you reveal to me where/what that setting is ? Thank you all for your time and help. |
