How remove weather widget 'Configure' from desktop

During install/configure of the KDE weather app for the desktop, I was left with these two items, which I CANNOT remove.
How can I remove them? Thx.

FWIW, I tried logging out of the KDE session. The 2 items persisted after signing in...

I finally came across the means to delete the two offending items off the desktop.
