Hello to all
A curiosity with Dolphin (KDE Plasma 5). An instance of Dolphin is open on the screen with a folder Video/RteGenerator. I delete all its contents. The screen displays "The folder is empty". So far so good. I use a program called Route_Generator-1.10.0-x86_64.AppImage. It creates a route from points on a map, then saves files in a folder that must be empty. This is what it does in the folder Video/RteGenerator........ In the opened Dolphin window, I always see "The folder is empty" ![]() ![]() ![]() If I open, in parallel, another Dolphin session I have files in the Video/RteGenerator folder. To sum up, an open Dolphin does not update its content when it is modified by an external application! I haven't checked with other programs yet, but it's a surprising situation. Any idea? Bug or no bug ? Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) |

I am afraid that's "normal" - Dolphin is not quick with updating folder changes. And regarding SMB/CIFS it turns actually rather erratic: It can update instantly, delayed or not at all. I don't see any pattern there...
Well, thus I learned the position of the F5-button and can find it in the dark ![]()
Take a good look, children. It will prepare you for your adult lives in our nightmarish corporate system.
