Possibility to get not-darked accent color in dark themes

Hello gents,
coming from a Pop_OS dark theme, I really like the look of the dark scheme with a bright cyan accent color. I am trying to get the same thing in KDE, however KDE tones down the color with a dark theme active. I have 100% the correct color, looked up the HTML color code in the Pop_OS theme config and in a KDE light theme like breeze light it is exactly the color I want. However when I switch to breeze dark, the accent color also gets darkened, making it not as I want it.
When switching between dark and bright themes you can actually see the difference in the file manager, because the folders with live preview don't update automatically. See this screenshot:

I found a bug report that was on a similar topic, https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442820, saying it was solved but I still see a difference.

So, any way to prevent KDE from fiddling with my accent color?

Thx!

No. It's not a bug btw. It's halfbaked design. Whereas the custom highlight stuff works on light themes, there still is a prob with the dark ones. So, you'd have to create a dark color scheme yourself. If you want a matching breeze icon theme, there are some that adapt. Breeze Rainbow, Breeze Chameleon and Breeze Chameleon RC.
I quickly put something together. It's not what you want, but you get the idea. As for the hover part in the list view...I can't remember really. But anyway, if you want more appropriate coloring in dark themes, editing a color scheme is your only option I'm afraid.https://imgur.com/a/sIiGVCR
Edit: It just dawned to me. As far as the hover translucency, that one has to be done in the listview.qml. (I believe this started with that custom highlight...c..p and the clickable row.) How? Dunno, above my paygrade. So, if you want a more accentuated highlight when hovering in a detailed/list view, you'd have to use a kvantum theme. There are premade pop os themes/color schemes out there but they'll have the same prob as if you'd make your own. And a kvantum pop os theme doesn't exist as far as I know.

Thank you for the reply. But I am not going to create my own schemes, not so deep in the topic to get it to where I would like in a reasonable amount of time.

Sexy theme you have there, btw.

Making a color scheme takes ten minutes, at most. It's not a theme. https://imgur.com/a/XhdDoNz
