Hi! I recently started using KDE on my desktop and I am extremely satisfied with it's functionality, customizability and polish. Therefore I was curious about how Plasma Mobile were shaping up and was thinking about getting the KDE PinePhone Community Edition.
There's one thing I have really wanted for a mobile OS since smartphones made their entry: a desktop style panel. That is, a bar at the bottom of the screen that shows running apps and lets me switch between them quickly. It would speed up and optimize multi-tasking on the phone a lot but despite screens getting taller all the time I've yet to see this implemented somewhere. So my question is simple, would it be possible to configure Plasma Mobile to always show a desktop-style bar with icons for all running apps, that always displays at the bottom of the screen with running apps above? (Just like on a standard KDE desktop). That would be amazing and could really be a game-changer for smartphone usability, perhaps something to offer as a default setting if it is possible. |
