new to kde and still learning everthing Open-Source . have KDE pinephone and need a little help with terminal commands . tried update/upgrade with pacman -Syyuuw and all i get is a message about database not locked . i has seen reference to pacman - mirror but have no idea . any help much appreciated

Have you tried using the `sudo` command as prefix? This is used to execute the command "as administrator".

```
sudo pacman -Syu
```
