That said, would the project benefit from early user adopters already? I own a nexus 5 which is my only and active phone. I could not help as dev, but I could try to install and see if I can manage my day with what there is and report bugs from a user perspective. However, only if this makes sense already. I wish you all the best in this endeavor! It is great to see plasma go mobile. This is what I wished for in the recently conducted survey by kde.ev |

How did you do it? Maybe you could post a tutorial in the devices section(eg. [TUTORIAL]How to get Plasma Mobile working on Oneplus One.) Oh and also post in the tutorial, what bugs did it have, I think this would help the Plasma developers to get a fully functional port. |

With the help of JBB I was able to test it on a Raspberry Pi 3 with an official 7 inch touch display.
Please see the related post ...viewtopic.php?f=297&t=133683 It is far from running smooth but it is usable. Since it is a native linux environment on a 'standardized' and portable (battery-powered), 'touch-enabled' hardware, it maybe would be a good idea to support it further. If you look on the views column related to the post you see that there is a lot of interest for this topic/device. BR Wil |

well,my big question here is,why put this amazing thing that is a base for gnu/linux like ubuntu or arch over another 1 ? well,so we need first to throw away the stock (i am a fan of stock as it uses all the drivers for the device, not CM that lack many of them just to bring a few more options) and install CM and after that again install plasma over CM,don't u find this kinda wierd ? why not just make it extremely simple ? install it as a stock like, completly bypass the android (ik that is very complicated coz of the drivers) or just install it over the stock,it has more beneficial things by using the original drivers
i own an Asus Z00A, and the best of this device is it's cpu,not an ARM,it is an x86_64 cpu, which i believe that would run KDE plasma much better than all ARM put together, just like a desktop PC and mine is the 4 Gb ram,so plenty for KDE Plasma to run nicely,i wish that some1 would look into this and give an answer,i believe that actually porting would be easier than on an ARM cpu |
