It would be great to have a automated process, like of Ubuntu Touch and Sailfish. Now installation needs PC. Hopes we will have automated installation sooner...

Thank you,

This is interesting. I have a Oneplus One that I'm not using right now which I bought with a broken screen. I replaced the screen and it works fine. I might give this a go and see what happens. ;D I have used Ubuntu Touch, Firefox OS and Sailfish on a Nexus 4 that I own. I had various problems with all of them. Ubuntu and Firefox were very "clunky" and not smooth. With Sailfish I couldn't find my contacts or get a network.

I think I'm not the only one to have found this tutorial lately due to recent web posts about Plasma Mobile on the OnePlus One. Unfortunately, in the months since this tutorial was made, some of the links have rotted. In particular:

1. I see that the script located at https://github.com/blue-systems/mobster ... t-remaster is no longer available but can now be found at https://github.com/KDE/mobster. Are kde forum posts editable, and is the OP around to change the first post to reflect this new location? This would be super-useful to us new Plasma Mobile experimenters.

2. Can the repos mentioned at https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Mobile ... positories be found somewhere else? They seem to have disappeared from pangea.pub. Similar things abound in internet searches, but I really can't tell if they're what I'm looking for since I never saw the original repos. Anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks!

Hi,
sorry for my long absence. The problem is that I do not own any OnePlus One since over a year :/
I would not stick to my old process, it was very complicated and almost nothing was working. I think the best way would by to use the current effort of using Cyanogen (yeah I know that CyanogenMod does not exist anymore) as base system (https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Mobile/CyanogenModBase).

I am willing to help someone who wants to try to port Plasma Mobile to the Oneplus One.

I'm trying to get plasma mobile working on my OPO. I've compiled a stripped CM;however, I'm unable to adb into the device while it's loaded up. My Linux computer recognizes it but it doesn't see it as a attached device for adb.

This sounds really awesome !

I wonder how short in space I would get on a 64GB device with both Android and Ubuntu ?

Also, is the Oneplus One fast enough? The 3 is out and the 4 is coming out next month.
