NOTE: I found this on the OLD forum, and I have not tested this because I do NOT have a Nexus 4(or any Nexus device).
1. Install Ubuntu Touch Vivid(for the Nexus 4) 2. Because you are going to install a lot of packages you need more space in your /usr directory. I couldn't enlarge the Partition so I loop mounted it to /home as described here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/514913/ho...n-on-touch (remember to set the executable bit for the script). 3. Download the tarball for the Nexus 5 http://kubuntu.plasma-mobile.org/pool/ 4. Extract the remaster script 5. Delete the Line echo 'Acquire::http { Proxy "http://localhost:3142"; };' > /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/cacher (I don't get it why they want to use cacher for a single device) 6. Run the script via ssh or adb (sometimes the script stops so its better to run the commands manually one by one) 7. Reboot 8. First boot might take a while NOTE/REMEMBER: I have NOT tested this, because I do NOT have a Nexus 4. AND the author of the thread in the old forum has said that it is NOT stable at all, here is the old thread: http://forums.plasma-mobile.org/showthr ... ?tid=11879 |
