Hello,

I have a custom x86 platform with a touch screen, currently running kde desktop with Kubuntu.
However given there is only a small touchscreen surface, it is not really usable.

I wanted to give Plasma Mobile a try, but I cant find anywhere instructions about how to install it ( and apt-get install plasma-mobile doesn't do everything it seems... )
I grabbed the recent ISO file, but I cant run it, even in a x86 VM...

Thank you for letting me know where I can find documentation to install Plasma Mobile on an existing KUbuntu Trusty...

Is the ISO in the official guide known to work on the WeTab? I can't get mine to boot from it. Please help.

I've tried the boot-from-usb instructions on WeTab Community:

They don't work for me. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just my WeTab being difficult. WeTabs are tricky to boot from USB.

The install ISO on that page is a dead link. Is there anywhere else I can find it? I tried looking on google and couldn't locate it.

How can ı donload the iso. I couldnt find, too.

I tried to install it to virtualbox. It has isntalled succesfully and said me "restart the system" . Restarted the system but didnt start again. It typed a lot of error.

That would be ideal if there will be option to install Plasma Mobile from repository, just like kubuntu-desktop package. Because most likely we talking about BayTrail/CherryTrail tablets here, availability of very latest kernel, firmwares, graphics drivers, actually matters a lot.

I was able to boot my WeTab/ExoPC from a USB thumb drive. After I transferred the ISO with dd, I ran a shell script called write-magic-bytes.sh that wrote the correct special bytes onto the thumb drive. The script was written by Peter Herzog, I think. It's no longer available on his web site.

I want to install the Plasma Mobile on Android tablet. Is the file installed on Android boot loader?
