Hi,
I have a quick question. I noticed that the Nexus 5 is currently the most supported device for plasma mobile and with the newer Nexus models being available, the 5 has dropped in price, so I was considering buying one just for plasma mobile. But before I do, are there any plans to drop the N5 any time soon? Don't want to buy it just to find out that I should have gone for a newer model. Thanks, Frederic |

hahahaha ,i have no idea how u got that in ur head, life time support for a phone ? hahaha,i have to admit,it is a good one,do u have any idea how many phones can come out in a life time ? many, how u expect to have that support for a phone that is goin to be old in a few years and that even the updates will stop coming for that phone, not to mention that new phones come with bigger ram and better cpu and that new version of OSes do get bigger in size too and demand more ram too,an old phone always remain behind for that simple reason, can not get an update of a new version OS coz is not having enough ram to run properly, that's why the custom rom exists, thanks to the devs, that brings new OS versions to older phones

You don't mean your lifetime but the lifetime of the support, right? I' m not a developer here really, but I can say that the nexus 5 will probably be supported until the system don't works on the hardware anymore. Ubuntu/linux, which is the base, does not have so huge system requirements. The only component which could stop working is plasma-mobile as user interface, but this should only happn in more than about 5 years. If plasma-mobile as a user interface don't works on this phone anymore, you can switch to penguinphone or hawaii.
