Hi everybody,
I am new here. Just followed the instructions to install Plasma Mobile on my Nexus 5. The install completed without errors, but I couldn't complete "See more tips what to do after flashing". I got stuck on
After the lxc-stop the screen went black, but I could still access the device through adb. Issuing lxc-start -n system -F rendered the following errors:
The phone boots, but the GUI is miniscule in many parts, like the top bar and OSK. It won't connect to my wifi network and some of the settings are off screen. I have managed to find some settings for the theme, and tried to change that to Plasma Mobile, but the save button does not respond. Also, after rebooting (and also reflashing again), I can't get adb access. I get error: device offline. But I can still access the files through USB. I have been running Ubuntu Touch for several years and it is quite polished on a Nexus 5 with UBports images. Plasma Touch on my N5 does not look like the demo video, so I just started to wonder how active the development actually is? With the distressing news from Canonical to discontinue development of Unity 8, ditch phones and move back to Gnome on the desktop, I am leanings towards switching to KDE Plasma for my desktop and why not try out Plasma mobile then? So please, tell me if I am missing something fundamental here. Thank you, Tomas |
