Installed on Asus Vivotab Note 8

Mon Dec 03, 2018 9:38 am
Hi all,

I recently was about to install the x86_64 iso on an Asus Vivotab Note
https://www.asus.com/us/Tablets/ASUS_Vi ... e_8_M80TA/

Everything works well, apart from:

No camera
No wifi
No sound (these three are actually just problems with Atom processors and Linux so not a problem of Plasma Mobile necessarily)
Sudo password doesn't work (I saw that the password for the user phablet is "1234" but that didn't work).
No stylus support (although I can imagine installing Wacom libraries would fix that

Is there some way to make a persistent installation on the device? Can I receive updates with this version of Plasma Mobile?

But otherwise, it's really really good. The touch experience is smooth and it has a nice feel to it overall.
