Upstreaming Haiku patches

Tue May 18, 2021 8:53 am
Hi there! I'm one of the maintainers of The KDE Frameworks on Haiku in https://github.com/haikuports/haikuports/tree/master/kde-frameworks

We've been keeping it mostly up-to-date since 2017 and now in the light of upcoming Haiku R1/Beta3 https://dev.haiku-os.org/wiki/R1/Beta3/ReleaseNotes we would like to upstream our patches to make this port feel a bit more official and also make further updates easier for us. How do we go about that? There are quite a few patches, luckily, most of them are tiny. Would you prefer to cherry-pick some of the easy patches yourself or do we need to submit it somewhere for a review?

To see KDE screenshots on Haiku and a lot of positive reaction from our community follow this link https://discuss.haiku-os.org/t/kde-fram ... -apps/6170

Also https://twitter.com/kdecommunity/status ... 0351916034

Thanks!

Great idea! Please use the kde-devel@kde.org mailing list to get in contact with the relevant people.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
