Hello
I'm developing a small cross-platform GUI tool. It should be run on Linux/Mac/Windows. Currently there are only native Qt codes used in project. so it's nicely cross-platform and there is no problem on linux/mac/win. I'm wondering if it's possible to port everything to KDE development framework or not? I like KDE UI library and if possible I would like to use it on both linux and windows (probably not mac!)... The problem is that I can't find any pre-compiled shared libraries of KDE UI library for windows. AFAIK kde is on CMake build system. I've no experience with cmake on windows... So i'm not sure how can I compile kde on windows... Have you tried this before? |

KDE on Windows is available from http://windows.kde.org/ - I am not sure if development files are included however.
In regards to CMake, it is probably best to refer to KDE Techbase (techbase.kde.org) for more information there.

Cmake is same everywhere.... so, theoretically, everything will work with the same cmake files, which will generate platform specific make files in turn.

I'm curious why you'd like to implement the application using KDE while it seems you already have reached your aim with Qt, is there any missing feature that is included in KDE and that you need? |
