Hi all!
I'm starting to be desperate. In the last few weeks I have developed pieces of code (C++) to compute several software metrics ... Now I have to integrate them with the Kate editor. What I need is: add a button in the ToolBar (KEditToolBar) that, when pressed, calls the execution Metrics Calculator over the code that stays in the Text area of Kate. The problem is I looked for the ToolBar implementation, and I found it. I put "false" in this part of "katemainwindow.cpp"
then I executed the project and It works! No ToolBar visible! After that I put "true" again, in order to make it visible again. ....and, it the toolbar isn't visible. I DID NOT change anything in the KEditorToolBar.h o in the various implementation around it! What should I do?? The ToolBar disappeared even in the Kate version installed in my PC, not only the compiled one! PS Linux Mint 12 with Gnome+MATE environment |

I would suggest sending a email to the Kate development mailing list, kwrite-devel@kde.org.
