Hi,

Coming from windows I'm totally new to Kdevelop and just installed the Environment.
I'm trying to follow the Manual and create an project from scratch as mentioned in
http://userbase.kde.org/KDevelop4/Manual/Sessions_and_projects/en#Creating_projects_from_scratch
It fails with the errormessage:

Code: Select all
kdevelop(7522)/kdevelop (cpp support) KDevelop::ParseJob::readContents: Could not open file "%25{dest}/src/ksomething.cpp" (path "%{dest}/src/ksomething.cpp" )
X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
  Major opcode: 20 (X_GetProperty)
  Resource id:  0x200019b
kdevelop(7522)/kdevplatform (shell) KDevelop::PluginController::loadPluginInternal: Unable to find a plugin named ' "" '!

Any ideas?

(First I had multiple errors trying to start a new session. The error was that cmakeplugin or somthing like that could not be found. Reading Stdout from kdevelop I figured out that cmake and git where not installed (why isn't that a dependency for kdevelop package?). But now I at least can compile a Standard => Terminal Session )

Yes, this template is broken in 4.6. It's fixed now, but that will only be in the next release. The file is still created, just not opened automatically -- if you ignore the error, you should still be able to open it manually.
If it doesn't work, just create a new folder in your file manager and open that as a project (Open/Import project and then select the folder).

The other errors you mentioned are issues with your distro's package management, I can't answer them.

Greetings!

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.
