Hi,
I've submitted a patch for a smallish bug in kdelib recently. Specifically, the concerned class is KUrlRequester, a widget that is part of the kio subsystem. Now, I've been asked to check and update the unittest. I found quite some documentation about "regular" unittests, i.e. those using QtTestLib, and I do understand them. Thing is, the test that I have to change seems to be of a different kind, I guess they're actually called "executable tests". These thests are used for GUI elements, and seem to be meant to work interactively: they show a series of dialogs containig the concerned widget with various input values. From what I understand it is up to the tester to click through these dialogs and decide if things are as they should. For an example of such a test, see the test for kfiledialog. My question is: did I really understand this right - or am I missing something? Is there any documentation about this kind of thest anywhere? Could not find anything... Thanks |

I'm afraid i'm not sure what is being requested here either - if you need clarification I would recommend replying in the review request as the reviewer(s) in question will be best equipped to indicate how this should be done.
