Hi,
I am trying to develop a KDE 5 version of the Qalculate! plasmoid. Currently I am facing two issues: 1. If you click the icon in the taskbar the widget is opened and the input focus is granted to the input text field. That is working as expected. However, I am unable to put the input focus to the input text field if the widget is opened with a keyboard shortcut. If it is opened with a shortcut you have to press tab once to put the input focus on the input field. Is there any way of automatically granting the input focus to the input field when opening a plasmoid with a shortcut? 2. A user asked about putting the input directly in the taskbar. I have a preliminary version running, which looks like this: ![]() There again I have a problem with the input focus. Although the cursor is blinking in the input field, all input is redirected to krunner if I am on the desktop or the application in the foreground. I cannot type any text there. But if I right click into the input field I can copy and paste text regularly. I guess I would somehow have to remove the focus from the active application and grant it to the plasmoid in order to make this work. Cheers, Daniel |
