Hello,

I develop a plasmoid to control a Denon AV receiver over the network.

It works fine but deployment requires some installation process, instead of just unpacking because of these reasons:
1. Applet icon (in metadata.desktop) seems to work only with full path or name looked up in the default themes location.
2. C++ extension can not be found unless installed to the system default location (or setting env var).
3. Icons lookup by name for custom icons, local to the plasmoid, doesn't seem to work, unless installing them to the default themes location.

As much as I searched I could not find an 'official' or workaround solution to these problems.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
