I've posted about the disk and network activity monitor plasmoids that come with Kubuntu 16.04 before but I received few bites. I think I know why, I managed to find the source code and it looks like it's quite dated (by several years).

Would anyone be interested in starting a project for creating an up-to-date Plasma 5.8-compatible plasmoids to replace the network and disk activity plasmoids? I particularly like the line-graph display and how neatly it fits into a panel, but it does have some rendering and model/view inconsistency bugs that I think make it suitable for at least a framework migration.

Additionally, if anyone is already working on something like this then I want to know about it and perhaps I can help.

Activity Bar. Desktop: The gray element of the plasmoid has a minimum height. If you resize too much vertically, the gray element goes out the frame.
