When editting a file on network drives, kate tends to shutdown or crash when the connection to the drive gets interrupted for a few seconds.

Unfornately this happens alot and I essentially cannot use kate to edit these files without copying them to my computer.

I am unsure where I should post this, it was a bit unclear
