I have been reading on kde documentation but there are many terms and concepts im not understanding , so im asking for some light.
What is the difference between developing: 1_ plasmoid 2_ kde framework 3_ qt, comercial and opensource version. I need to replace an existing html view that send and receive lines through a web socket for an application with native appearance. What is the best choice for this propose? This is what I understand so far: Plasmoid seems very easy in tutorial , it is javascript + qml, it sounds very nice , but after reading and building tutorial example , i did not find more documentation. KDE framework: You can develop application using the framework but you need to setup all the enviroment. You can work with c++ and qml. You can use qt creator, so you have all setup to begin using kde framework in an IDE. There is a comercial and a opensource version. Regards. Leandro. |
