Hello,
I hope this is the correct forum section, but feel free to move the post if it's wrong.
I want to attach GDB to the existing plasmashell process, because I would like to better understand some crashes I see.

I run "sudo gdb plasmashell [PID]" or "sudo gdb [PID]" and it seems to work, but the whole plasmashell freezes.
The open windows work fine, but I can't use anything of the Plasma menu/panels. If I enter "exit" from the gdb session, plasmashell comes back to life and works fine.

How can i run "gdb plasmashell" without this Plasma freeze? I would like to use it normally after launching the GDB session

In a bug report, a developer told me to type "continue" in the gdb shell when plasmashell freezed.
It worked.
