Hello All,

I'm an experienced programmer, but as far as KDE is concerned, I'm just a dumb user.

When I select some text in a KDE application, let's say konsole, I'd like to launch a shell script with the selected text as argument.

What is the best approach to do that ?

TIA for any help.

You should have a look at klipper. There are some "action triggers". For example when you select an URL it will automatically provide actions to load it in your browser etc.

You can also have a look at: how-to-search-in-phone-books-using-klipper-t-10156.html

Cheers, m
