Hi people,

I wanna write a piece of code to change the kde4 environment settings, in particular those settings related to color and window style.
However, I went across the API pages and can't find anything help.
So, I wonder if there are some API's or any kinds of methods that can be used to reset the desktop environment.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Best,

Caesar

I believe you would need to alter configuration files in order to do this. The code for the Appearence > Colours KControl Module would probably be the best place to begin looking for information / documentation on how to do this.

Additionally, most configs are described using XML files because they are using the KConfigXT framework.

These files can be found in directories listed by this command

% kde4-config --path kcfg

See also http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tut ... KConfig_XT
