probably stupid question, but I couldnot find anything on techbase.

How do I force cmake to use different build dirs for different build types, i.e. depending on -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE? Or do I have to handishly change $KDE_BUILD every time?

The builddir is basically the current path at the moment you run cmake for a source.
This means that you have to start cmake from different directories in order to have different build dirs.
