Hi,
I wrote a comic provider for the comic widget but I can't get it working because the request for the image must contain the http referrer url. The documentation and source code I found does not contain this case. Is it possible to define a referer URL in the comic provider ? If not, where can I request this feature ? I am not familiar with the kde development community (and its dos and don'ts) but I hope I am asking my question in the right place - if not I am more then happy with some advice ![]() Thanks Chresan |

Not sure how a Comic provider works, but if you are using KIO to retrieve the comic yourself you can use KIO::Job and add the needed false meta data using addMetaData().

An interesting question, I never really tried this. Would like to know if you can define a referer URL in the provider. Hopefully someone here can answer the question. I have the feeling that it should be possible but I have to admit I don't know how.

@bcooksley I will investigate the KIO idea you mentioned. However I fear this workaround will circumvent for example the progress indicator of the comic-widget and perhaps would require more code than writing my own comic applet.
