So, I want to develop plasmoids using python.

I read through the tutorials on techbase, made the hello world plasmoid, I've been tinkering around with the examples and so forth and looking at other people's python plasmoids from kde-look.org.

Seems like I'm still a long way from having the knowledge to develop a useful plasmoid in Python, though. Can anyone suggest a few good resources to get to the next level? I've looked at the Plasma API some, but figuring out how the c++ code translates to python is not always obvious.

It depends on what you wish to develop. You will probably find the Plasma documentation at api.kde.org to be helpful, and if you have questions you can find the Plasma developers in #plasma on FreeNode, or their mailing list plasma-devel@kde.org.

Thanks; I guess I was fishing to see if there was a more advanced tutorial out there that Google had missed. I've been hitting the PyKDE and Plasma docs pretty hard, but some things still elude me. Maybe I'll start bugging people on irc.
