Hi!

Some minutes ago I have run "svn up" in trunk/kdesupport and "cmakekde". This ended with "Strigi needs a thread safe version of libxml2". What can I do?

Best regards,
Oliver.

This is a known bug in the Kubuntu packages. Please install the version of libXML available from this PPA ( https://edge.launchpad.net/~jr/+archive/ppa )

i have this same problem. i tried installing the listed PPAs but same problem crops up after doing a cmakekde. Here's what did with the result

drexler@ubuntu:/home/kde-devel/kde/src/trunk/kdesupport$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jr/ppa
[sudo] password for drexler:
Executing: gpg --ignore-time-conflict --no-options --no-default-keyring --secret-keyring /etc/apt/secring.gpg --trustdb-name /etc/apt/trustdb.gpg --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv D1B8E0D26079DC00276F463C1406C1DFB3408323
gpg: requesting key B3408323 from hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com
gpg: key B3408323: "Launchpad PPA for Jonathan Riddell" not changed
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: unchanged: 1
drexler@ubuntu:/home/kde-devel/kde/src/trunk/kdesupport$ sudo apt-get update
....

After this i proceed to switch to the dev account and do cmakekde there. Am i doing anything wrong? Corrections welcomed. A KDE dev newbie here.

After you have installed the corrected libxml packages from that PPA you should be able to build as normal.
