hi. i tried to pull out development code for amarok using git. using
git clone http://gitorious.org/amarok/amarok.git

and i am getting this error message:
fatal: http://gitorious.org/amarok/amarok.git/info/refs not found: did you run git update-server-info on the server?

is there a configuration problem here? i am new to this and would really appreciate some help.

The correct url is git://gitorious.org/amarok/amarok.git not http://gitorious.org/amarok/amarok.git as that works here....

thanks for the reply. the git protocol doesnt work too, may be bcoz of a firewall. but the alternate http url is also provided on the gitorious site.

Try using "http://git.gitorious.org/amarok/amarok.git" instead... ( note git.gitorious.org instead of gitorious.org )
