Hi, I'm new to this forum and also fairly new to Linux.

I've just moved to Mandriva 2010 with KDE4 and been all day yesterday trying to Quanta Plus.

I had a lot of problems but I solved all of them installing additional packages, though I can't solve this last one that has to do with having KDE4 instead of KDE3.

Just at the beginning I had to make a link to 'kde4-config' naming it 'kde-config', and just now I had to create another link to the whole '/usr/lib64/kde4' folder naming it '/usr/lib64/kde'. But it also seems that the installations is looking for the 'kdewidgets' and 'libkio' files, just that I have them as '.so' and it's looking for them as '.la'

Where can I get the 'kdewidgets.la' and 'libkio.la' (instead of 'kdewidgets.so' and 'libkio.so')?

Thanks you in advance

I fixed the previous problem (by making a link to the '.so' files as '.la', which seemed to work), but now have a brand new problem (what a surprise!).

It seems that now it can't find "The important program dcopidl", and of course, I can't also find it in any rpm package.

Anyone knows how can I install that the "dcopidl" file?

[**SOLVED**]

I had to install the KDE3 libraries from the MVT repo...
