Hi, I know almost nothing about programing, I do know a little html though, so I thought I would try the html plasmoid tutorial which works in that it displays my plasmoid correctly, but links don't seem to work, I suspect I have to add something to do with inputs this is what I see in the konsole when running plasmoidviewer

also after trying to edit my page from the installation folder the changes aren't there, does this have to be reinstalled in order to make changes?

Those error messages are harmless, and not related to the problem you are experiencing. Note that when developing a Plasmoid, you will need to reinstall it for each change you make, and will will need to remove it and add it again, or restart Plasma post installation.
