help needed building kdepim

Wed Aug 04, 2010 4:58 pm
I want to fix some bugs in akregator that have been bugging (no pun intended) me for a while.

The problem is I cannot build the trunk version of akregator/kdepim/other pim app...

this is what I did:
checkout svn
Code: Select all
svn co -N anonsvn.../kdepim ./kdepim
cd kdepim
svn up akregator
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..

this gave a compile error:
Code: Select all
CMake Error at /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:139 (MESSAGE):
Could NOT find KdepimLibs (missing: KdepimLibs_CONFIG) (Required is at
  least version "4.5.60")
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/FindKdepimLibs.cmake:80 (find_package_handle_standard_args)
  CMakeLists.txt:66 (find_package)

this means it cannot find KdepimLibs_CONFIG, techbase told me to use:
Code: Select all
cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=debugfull -DKdepimLibs_DIR=/usr/lib/cmake/KdepimLibs ..

But this made no difference :(

I am using the testin repo's of chakra x86_64

thanks

You must run cmake for the whole kdepim module. Once you do that, you can cd to the akregator subdirectory in the build directory and run the actual make there.

(Edit) Doing that, the -DKdepimLibs_DIR stuff (ugly and not really correct) is no more needed.

I think you will need kdepimlibs trunk for kdepim trunk
kdelibs from 4.5 should be OK

Cheers,
