Hi,

I need to make a C++ plasmoid that runs a specified command. What is the correct way of doing it?

I know a lot of KDE applications use the KRun class which is supposed to do that, but to use it I need a parent QWidget, and I don't know that I could set it as in a plasmoid.

Thanks in advance

There is a nice page on techbase about the topic:

Most probably your case would be to use KProcess (at least, from the generic description it would seem that)?
