I do not know if this is the correct place to ask...
I intended to write a small application, written in Perl/Tk, so that in one of its frames it would embed a KDE app (Kword). I know it is possible to embed X windows applications, as long as you're able to tell them the xid where to go, e.g. xterm -into <ID> mplayer -wid <ID> dillo -x <ID> ... do you know if I can in some way tell Kword to gently embed itself in my frame in some way? ... as an alternative, even non-KDE, what I need is any RTF-enabled word processor. Unfortunately I was unable up to now to "convince" abiword or openoffice! thanks for any help... alessandro |

This doesn't appear to be possible. If your application was using KDE technology such as KApplication then fully native integration would be relatively easy and seamless.
