Evanishing Plasma::Label

Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:50 am
Hi,

I've a question regarding Plasma::Label. I've written my own Plasma::Applet, i.e. a system monitor.

It's just a QGraphicsGridLayout of two columns, with a label (ex. "CPU Temperature") and a value. Each Plasma::Label is connected to a dataengine source.

It seems to work normally, but if you leave the PC in idle for some minutes, the labels disappear. I suppose it's a refresh issue, cause if I move a window over the applet, and then away, all the labels are visible. Of course this happens only for labels that are rarely updated (like descriptions and slowly-changing values, like free disk space percentage).

Why does that happen? How can I solve this?

Thanks a lot,
Tony.

I suggest asking in #plasma on Freenode.
