Pykde4 and KAuth

Thu Dec 23, 2010 9:45 am
Hi all!
I searched around for some documentation about using pykde4 Kauth but I haven't found anything useful (Hey, I'm a pioneer!). So is there anyone that know how to use KAuth with pykde4?

I need to implement a KCModule with root privilege, so I need to create an helper that store information that is executed when the Apply button is pressed.

The C++ documentation talks about executing some macro and registering the helper in a policy database, but how can I do all this thing with pykde?
Where should I put the helper file?

I studied a little better KAuth but I can't find a way to use it with pykde. The helper need a macro KDE4_AUTH_HELPER_MAIN that should build the main to run the helper, but this is designed for the C++ version. How can I do this in python?

You may need to ask on the kde-devel mailing list regarding this. kde-devel@kde.org
