I'm unsure this question should been asked in this extend of forum or maybe in KDE API subforum of developers forum.
In any case, I can't find DBUS method to add new event for given period of time. In other word I have to allow klipper to add event for selected date/time/period of time. Most of work have I done, like regular expressions to detect time/date/etc. One matter is: I can't open add event window or add event for some time & date. I test Korganizer D-BUS interface and Akanodi Interface and yes, there's exist API to open prompt to add new event, but I can't set default time/date of event. That's not big matter, but if user had selected a text and open klipper menu to add new event, they won't paste nor rewrite selected text.

Also have a look at konsolekalendar
We unfortunately don't have command line tools for Akonadi yet, but I have started to work on such as a back burner project. Which unfortunately means I have no idea when I can even do a preview release. Cheers, _
