I absolutely hate to say this buuut.... I'm on Kubuntu 11.04 and have been trying to use the KDE.org tutorial's but even the simple 'Hello World' doesn't work at all. Cmake spits out an error and quits. I follow exactly what it says and this is the output I get from cmake:
I can understand the cmake_minimum required part but that's it. |

okay so I realized I posted this in the wrong spot I think, how do I delete it? I'm soo sick of forums not including an easy way to delete posts... Even Apple took away the ability to delete a post at all.

Do you have kdelibs5-dev installed? This should take care of that error. The tutorial doesn't go into distro-specific dependencies, unfortunately. As it is a wiki, however, you can add this in and thereby improve the tutorial.

Moved to a more appropriate place.
The reason we don't allow people to delete posts is because a) either it would recursively delete all replies as well, or b) it would result in a broken discussion. In the future you can PM Global Moderators if you wish to move a post.

First, thank you for moving this post and the info
And secondly, kdelibs5-dev is EXACTLY what I needed. I figured it would have to be a "-dev" package, but I had no idea what one. It works now! http://ubuntuone.com/p/z01/ |
