When I 'configure' kdelibs through CMake, I get:
WARNING: No valid KAuth backends will be built. The library will not work properly unless compiled with a working backend (This seems to be an error not a warning, because it will not let me proceed with the 'generate' step). The variables are set to: KDE4_AUTH_BACKEND_NAME FAKE KDE4_AUTH_HELPER_BACKEND_NAME DBUS The only reason I need kdelibs is to build kdevelop. Is there a way I can proceed without a KAuth backend? Thanks, David |

Very unusual, I would have thought it would have configured ok without a KAuth backend available. There are two backends for linux: Polkit and PolicyKit. Your system will probably have Polkit.

Interesting, it was indeed only a warning, but in ccmake the page was too long (talking about optional libraries, etc) that it didn't display the actually error of the missing libraries!
When running just 'cmake' instead of the gui 'ccmake' the errors were apparent. David |
