I have very nearly gotten kde to build on windows using msvc and kde v 4.4.0.

Currently, VS is unable to find kmacros.h, as I try to build the kdegames. ( I did get these games from a ubuntu src package, but I'm hoping that is not insurmountable.) On ubuntu, I have a file, /usr/include/kmacros.h. I windows I have a file %KDE%\kdemacros.h.cmake.

Is there a way to turn this cmake file into kdemacros.h?

Thanks,
Nathan

I have not fixed this yet, but I think it has something to do with the source packages in the installer not installing this file.

If the "kdemacros.h" file is not being installed by the KDE Windows installer, it may be wise to send a email to the kde-windows@kde.org mailing list.

The only way to change a kdemacros.h.cmake file into a kdemacros.h file is by getting it passed through the relevant section of CMake, which is usually done during the kdelibs installation process.
