Using emerge to build kde

Tue Jul 26, 2011 1:27 pm
So, I'm taking one more try at this kde on windows job, and have made it through most of the build process

emerge qt, emerge kdelibs, both complete successfully.

However,

emerge kde-baseapps, fails. It says:

%KDEROOT%\git\kde-runtime\CMakeLists.txt

set(SOPRANO_MIN_VERSION "2.6.50")

Yet, the installed version of soprano is:

2.6.0

Is there a way to get emerge to insatll 2.6.50 or .51 of soprano?

Soprano has a souce install here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/soprano/files/Soprano/

But I'm not exactly sure how I might incorporate this into emerge, which seems pretty self contained.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Nathan

The latest version of Soprano can be retrieved from git://anongit.kde.org/soprano. The emerge build for Soprano may need to be updated to allow KDE to be built. I suggest you ask on the kde-windows@kde.org mailing list regarding that.
